But unlike the usual misunderstandings, disapproving mothers, or terrible diseases, the hurdle in “The Beauty Inside” really forces its characters and the audience to question what love really is and what it means. Just looking at the cast you could tell it was going to be a good movie. For people with disabilities, they are nearly impossible.

Some might say that the ending was cheesy, but I found it to be delightful and full of hope. Then we have Jung Hwa played by Han Hyo Joo. For this outing, he throws down a gauntlet to audiences. The man was the one who Chul Min had beat up, and then tried to save. Unlike many similar movies in both Korea and the West, “Innocent Steps” does just that – it takes incredibly slow, pure, and sweet steps towards the two growing closer and realizing their love for each other. The ending almost crippled me watching JiSub limping along. By Jae-Ha Kim Oh, and if they want to make the workout scene of So JiSub training longer, that’s fine by me. It puts into question the limits of love, family, and friendship while testing your resolve all the way. A few more nights of such viewings draw the reclusive man out of his shell. (Don't read if you haven't watched the movie). Ugh, I wanted to beat up that boxer “friend” of his who set him up. But there is no impetus, either with the characters or their behavior, to get beneath the glossy surface. There is no deep investigation into cultural mores, social themes or ironies the filmmaker could easily have explored. In order to stay and compete in the country, she needs to pretend to be married to Na Young Sae (played by Park Gun Hyung), a former ballroom dancer who is considered to be one of the best. We learn in the movie that Jung Hwa’s parents were killed in the same car accident that left her blind. One night, a visually impaired young woman, Jung Hwa, walks into his tollbooth to watch television with him. And if so, have you been fantasizing about a handsome man running under your umbrella in the rain? I saw it when it came out and it was so good! So Ji Sub plays Cheol Min, a former fighter-turned-parking lot attendant who falls head over heels for Jung Hwa (Han Hyo Joo), a sweet, incredibly open, and approachable girl who also happens to be blind.
So Ji Sub has always been one of my favorite actors, and he has won my heart again with this role. I know it's out of respect but whenever I hear ahjussi I think of an old man.
Required fields are marked *. I haven't seen a lot of works by Han Hyo Joo, the only one I can think of is W: two worlds, but I think she was perfect in this role; her acting was amazing. However, he’s quick to bring her back to his place when he learns that she’s been recruited by a brothel. Signaling his every intention to revel in conventions he avoided in the past, Song Il-gon, who co-wrote the script with No Hong-jin, cues the strings for one scene and lays in a tinkling piano over another.
Even flowers make an appearance. And it’s done in a fun, lighthearted, and often humorous way.
